Imphal: Acting on specific intelligence of the presence of cadres in general area Zumnum and Khudenthabi Villages, Tengnoupal District, Manipur, Assam Rifles established a permanent Vehicle Check Post.
The team noticed a group of five individuals moving suspiciously along a foot track on August 18,2024. Although unarmed, their suspicious behaviour prompted the Assam Rifles team to cordon off the area and confront them.
Upon being challenged, the individuals admitted to being KYKL cadres.
The apprehended cadres have been handed over to Manipur Police, said a press note from the PRO, IGAR(S).
