AP reports 10 fresh Covid-19 cases, nine recoveries

One case each came from East Siang, Lower Subansiri and Tawang. Seven of the total cases were found to be symptomatic, the official said.

Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh has recorded 10 fresh COVID-19 cases and nine recoveries during the past 24 hours, a senior health department official said.

With the addition of the new cases, the state’s tally of confirmed cases mounted to 55,075.

Of the new detections, Itanagar Capital Complex reported four cases and Lower Dibang Valley three. One case each came from East Siang, Lower Subansiri and Tawang. Seven of the total cases were found to be symptomatic, the official said.

On the contrary, with nine people getting cured in the period the state’s total number of recovered cases rose to 54,654.

Arunachal Pradesh has 141 active COVID-19 cases at the moment comprising 0.26 per cent of the total confirmed cases, while the recovery rate stands at 99.23 per cent.

Meanwhile, the state’s cumulative COVID-19 vaccination coverage crossed the 12.81-lakh mark as more than 5,000 people have received the anti-COVID vaccine shots during the last 24 hours.

So far, 77 per cent of the adult populations of the Northeastern state have taken the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, Covishield, while 50 per cent of beneficiaries were administered both doses of the vaccine since the launch of the world’s largest inoculation drive in the country in January last.
