Washington: Fox News on Tuesday said its cameraman Pierre Zakrzewski was killed while reporting in Ukraine on Monday.
Fox News chief executive Suzanne Scott said, “It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that we share the news this morning regarding our beloved cameraman Pierre Zakrzewski.
He further said that Zakrzewski was with correspondent Benjamin Hall “when their vehicle was struck by incoming fire”. On Monday, the organisation had said Hall was injured while news gathering outside of Kyiv.
It said, “We have a minimal level of details right now, but Ben is hospitalized and our teams on the ground are working to gather additional information as the situation quickly unfolds.”
According to CNN, Hall started his career as a war correspondent, reporting from the Middle East and Africa and filing reports for several news organizations.
Last week, Brent Renaud, a 50-year-old an American journalist, was killed and another was wounded by Russian forces in the town of Irpin outside the capital of Kyiv as they were traveling to film refugees.
