Amit Shah to chair tripartite meeting on Darjeeling issues in Delhi on Oct 12

Darjeeling: BJP MP from Darjeeling Raju Bista on Saturday informed that Union Home Minister Amit Shah would chair a tripartite meeting on Darjeeling issues in New Delhi on October 12.

Bista, who is also BJP’s national spokesman, said this during a meeting with party’s alliance partners of the Hills, Dooars and Terai.

The meeting was attended by R B Rai (CPRM), Y Lama (GNLF), Dawa Pakhrin (GoRaNiMo). Pratap Khati (ABGL), Bikash Rai (SuMuMo) and BJP’s Darjeeling leaders.

” I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the people of Darjeeling hills, Terai and Dooars region, who have remained steadfast in their faith and trust in the BJP and the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji,” Mr Bista said in a statement.

He said the meeting was organized to discuss the forthcoming tripartite talks called by the Union Home Ministry on October 12.

” I informed our Alliance Partners that various contentious issues confronting our nation such as rescinding of Article 370, resolution of Bodoland issue, resettlement of Bru-Reang issue, resolution of Karbi-Anglong issue that had been swept under the carpet by Congress and UPA Government,

are being resolved one by one. In a similar manner, the people of our region will also get justice under Modi ji.,’ Mr Bista said.

“I informed the Alliance Partners that Home Minister Amit Shahji himself will be chairing the meeting, which is a very positive sign for all of us,” the BJP MP from Darjeeling said.

” The faith and trust shown by the people from our region towards BJP and the commitment made by BJP towards the people here will be fulfilled. The time for Gorkhas to get justice has come,” Mr Bista said.

He also lauded the patience and unity shown by the alliance partners.

” Together we have achieved a historic first – talks without disturbing or inconvencing the general public This unity is important as the talks move forward, so I appeal to each and every political party, social organizations,intellectuals, academics, thinkers and thought leaders to support these talks through their inputs. We have this historic opportunity to transform our region and set a new future for our region and people.Let us all work together for a new dawn for our region,” said Raju Bista.
