Aizawl: Akshaya Patra, a Bangalore-based non-profit organization, as a part of its relief efforts for the Covid-19 affected families across India, has donated food and essential items to cover around 800 families to Aizawl District, Mizoram.
Dr Lallhriatzuali Ralte, Deputy Commissioner, Aizawl District received the relief package on July 12, 2021.
Food & essential items from Akshaya Patra contain Chikki Atta, Rice, Wheat Daliya, Tur Dal Sava, Desi Chana, Peanuts, Refined Edible Oil, Garam Masala, Chili Powder, Turmeric Powder, Iodised Salt, Glucose Biscuits, Ply Non-Woven Mask, Tooth Brush, Toothpaste, Family Soap Bar, Sanitary Pads, Classmate Notebook. The relief package for each family is already sorted out with the affected families in Aibawk RD Block to receive as the first beneficiaries to be followed by others.
