Agniveer recruitment rally concludes in Lucknow

Shortlisted candidates who appeared in the online Common Entrance Exam in April from 13 districts of Uttar Pradesh within the AOR of the Recruiting Office (Headquarters), Lucknow, participated in this rally, which began on November 16. More than 1,300 candidates from 2 Tehsils of Fatehpur District and 5 Tehsils of Lucknow District were called up on the final day, and approximately 940 candidates appeared.

Lucknow: The Agniveer Recruitment Rally for men, being conducted at the Army Medical Core (AMC) Center and College Sports Complex in the state capital Lucknow, concluded on Wednesday.

While giving briefs of the rally, Zonal Recruiting Officer from Headquarters Recruiting Zone UP and Uttarakhand Major General Manoj Tiwari said that it was the third for the state of UP. While elaborating on the Agnipath scheme, he said that the initial apprehension about this scheme has been mitigated with comprehensive outreach programmes.
He gave details of the dynamic Agnipath scheme, where an individual, after getting enrolled, serves the nation, enhances his education standards, and, if not retained, is prepared for a career outside.
The General Officer said that the conduct of rallies is absolutely transparent and fair without bias; therefore, candidates should not fall prey to touts or agents and refrain from usage of banned drugs or performance enhancers. He stated that the Indian Army does not have any agents, and in case anyone is approached by any such person, the matter must be reported to the nearest Army Recruiting Office or to the civil police.
Major General Manoj Tiwari expressed his gratitude for the efforts of the Indian Army, station commanders, local civil administration, and police personnel in the successful and smooth conduct of the rallies. The Agniveer Women Military Police Recruitment Rally for candidates from UP and Uttarakhand will also be held on November 27 and 28 in Lucknow.
