Imphal: Active cases in Manipur continue to fall on Saturday as it stood at 362 down from 366 on Friday, owing to 34 persons recovering compared to 31 new positive cases among the general population.
During the last 24 hours leading up to 2 pm of Saturday, one person also succumbed to Covid-19, taking the cumulative death tool of the state to 1, 981.  The person expired person had co-morbidities and had taken the 2nd dose of the Covid vaccine., as per an official release from the Health Department.
Of the 31 persons who tested positive from the general population, 15 are from Imphal West, 10 from Imphal East, three from Kakching and one each from Bishnupur, Senapati and Thoubal.
Altogether, 1,566 persons were tested for a positivity rate of 2.0 %.
Meanwhile, 34 persons recovered and were discharged, one of them from home isolation, 30 from CCCs and three from JNIMS. The recovery rate in the state now stands at 98.13 %.
The cumulative number of positive cases in the state now stands at 1, 25,328 out of which 1,22,985 have recovered leaving 362 active cases.
The total number of doses administered on December 3, 2021, is 8,913, the cumulative number of doses administered is 21,84,835 (1st dose 12,88,256, 2nd dose 8,96,497).
