Agartala: Followed by a scorching attack of Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb by All India Trinamool Congress General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee yesterday, the state government countered TMC and advised not to indulge lawlessness situation here and stop bringing the culture of violence in Tripura.
Addressing the media here last night Information and Cultural Affairs Minister of the state Sushanta Chowdhury said that the under table deal of Trinamool and CPI-M had been admitted by Abhishek in his speech and subconsciously he didn’t fail to mention his gratitude to leftists.
“The people of Tripura are not yet recovered from the pain and sufferings of 25 yrs old misrule of Left Front and the state is still facing the challenges of maladministration of communist but, bluntly Abhishek Banerjee compared three and half years rule of Biplab Kumar Deb government with the most unfortunate days of Tripura, which established TMC-CPM bonhomie,” Chowdhury stated.
Criticising the language of Abhishek Banerjee use against Chief Minister, Chowdhury said the state government with a good intention well ahead of their programme had informed them to shift the rally in a ground, which would be convenient for peoples’ movement in the city and for TMC supporters as well but they didn’t agree to it.
“We had no problem allowing them to hold the rally with 500-1000 people in front of Rabindra Shatabarshiki Bhawan on the road. Since they were trying to bring a large number of people from West Bengal and Assam to camouflage their strength we proposed they shift. They moved to the high court and the court also said the same thing and restricted the participants to 500. Obviously, it was a big defeat for Abhishek Banerjee, as he spoke before 500 people,” he observed.
The minister alleged Saradha chit fund case accused Kunal Ghosh who had Mamata Banerjee of involvement in the scam, has now been leading the Trinamool in Tripura. Abhishek Banerjee himself is accused of a coal scam while his wife is accused in gold smuggling cases of instigating the situation to create trouble in Tripura but, people of the state would not accept them.
