A single Covid related death in Manipur Sunday

Imphal: Manipur registered a single death, 234 new positive cases (226 general population 8 CAPF) and 234 recoveries in the last 24 hours leading up to 2 pm of Sunday, as per an official release from the Covid-19 Common Control Room.

The lone person who succumbed to the deadly virus was from Imphal West and she had not been vaccinated for Covid. The cumulative death toll in the state now stands at 1831.

 The 226 persons (105 males, 121 females) from the general population who tested positive include 99 from Imphal West, 65 from Imphal East, 18 from Kamjong, 16 from Bishnupur, 9 from Churachandpur, 6 from Thoubal and Senapati,5 each from Chandel and Ukhrul, 2 from Kakching and 1 each from Kangpokpi, tamenglong and Tengnoupal.

Of the 234 persons who were discharged, 53 were from home isolation, 111 were from CCCs, 36 were from CHICs, 5 were from RIMS and 19 were from JNIMS. The recovery rate in the state now stands at 96.61 %.

The cumulative number of positive cases is 1,18,495 (General Population – 1, 14,256, Central Security Personnel 4,239). The cumulative number of recovered cases is 1, 14,475 (General Population – 1, 10,301, Central Security Personnel – 4,174). The number of active cases is 2,189 (General Population – 2,129, Personnel – 60).

The total number of doses administered on September 18, 2021, is 4,825 and the cumulative number doses administered is 16,25,805 (1st dose 12,14,099, 2nd dose 4,11,706).

The total number of beds available in various hospitals for Covid-19 patients on September 19 is 547 out of which 435 are general beds while 112 are ICU beds.
