Tengnoupal:            Reaffirming its unwavering commitment to transparency, accountability and ethical conduct, Assam Rifles marked the commencement of Vigilance Awareness Week 2026 on 26 October 2026 across its key garrisons in Manipur. Observed from 26 October to 01 November 2026 under the central theme “Probity for Prosperity” (सत्यनिष्ठा से समृद्धि), the week-long initiative aligns with the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on 31 October, promoting uncompromising standards of honesty and zero tolerance towards corruption in public life.

The inaugural observances witnessed widespread participation across various units and bases. Tengnoupal Battalion, under HQ IGAR (South), organised an Integrity Pledge ceremony at its Battalion Headquarters and all Company Operating Bases (COBs) in Tengnoupal district. Concurrently, a vibrant Vigilance Awareness Programme was conducted at Modi Garrison and Larong in Chandel district, where approximately 250 personnel participated in a 2.5 km run alongside taking the integrity pledge, effectively combining physical fitness with the message of anti-corruption. Meanwhile, at New Keithelmanbi Garrison and its surrounding COBs in Imphal West district, a total of 536 personnel solemnly pledged to discharge their official duties with sincerity and probity. To ensure inclusive coverage, personnel deployed on operational duties participated seamlessly via an e-Pledge facility on mobile phones.

Uniting these varied activities across Tengnoupal, Chandel and Imphal West districts was the shared ethos of personal responsibility and organizational integrity. The initiatives reinforced public trust and underscored that integrity remains the core guiding principle driving every duty undertaken by Assam Rifles.
