Chandel:  In an unwavering commitment to community welfare beyond its core security mandates, the Assam Rifles conducted a comprehensive humanitarian patrol and door-to-door medical drive across Lamphau Charu, Lamphou Pasna and Beru Khudam villages in Manipur’s Chandel District on 11 October 2026.

Recognising the severe challenges posed by geographical isolation and adverse weather conditions that routinely hinder access to urban healthcare facilities, security personnel proactively brought essential medical relief directly to the doorsteps of local residents. During the initiative, medical personnel visited individual households to conduct health check-ups, monitor blood pressure levels and provide tailored medical advice.

The targeted effort successfully assisted 50 villagers, ensuring timely medical intervention, raising vital awareness about regular health monitoring and emphasizing preventive healthcare for early detection of common ailments. By bridging accessibility divides and establishing direct personal engagement, the Assam Rifles reaffirmed its role as a trusted pillar of support and compassion in remote border regions.
