Keithalmanbi: Assam Rifles conducted a Mega Dental and Eye Check-up Camp at Keithalmanbi Garrison, bringing together personnel, families and young students for a day dedicated to preventive healthcare and medical awareness.
The camp was attended by 390 beneficiaries, including 100 serving personnel, 80 family members, 150 students of Assam Rifles Public School and 60 NCC cadets from the 65 Manipur Girls Battalion. A specialised medical team comprising two Assam Rifles Medical Officers, one Dental Officer and thirteen civilian doctors and technicians from Medilane Foundation carried out comprehensive dental and ophthalmic examinations.
Beneficiaries underwent detailed screenings, received professional medical advice and were guided on maintaining long-term oral and ocular health. The initiative placed particular emphasis on early detection of ailments and preventive care, ensuring that students and cadets gained valuable awareness about the importance of eye and dental health in their formative years.
The camp provided an opportunity for Assam Rifles personnel and their families to access quality healthcare services within the garrison, while also fostering a culture of health consciousness among the youth. The event highlighted the significance of community-focused medical outreach in enhancing well-being and strengthening resilience, reflecting the positive impact of such initiatives in Manipur.
