Jiribam: Jiribam District Election Officer, Arvind Hanglem today congratulated the people of Jiribam on the successful conduct of the Special Intensive Revision 2026 exercise in regards to 40-Jiribam Assembly Constituency.
Briefing media persons at his office complex this afternoon, the DEO highlighted that the SIR-final Electoral Roll, 2026 for 40-Jiribam Assembly Constituency was published on September 6, 2026 upon the successful completion of SIR exercise 2026.
The final number of electors in the final electoral Roll, 2026 for 40-Jiribam AC published on September 6, 2026 stands at 28,337 electors including 14,428 males, 13,908 females and 1 of 3rd Gender.
He stressed that the SIR 2026 exercise was conducted in accordance with the schedule and guidelines of the ECI and CEO Manipur.
This revision, the DEO stated, was conducted through a very transparent and participatory process, involving extensive field verification by Block Level Officers, coordination with Booth Level Agents, political agents.
The exercise also witnessed multiple hearings at the level of Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) and the Assistant EROs, including the disposals of claims and objections and regular meetings, interactions with representatives of political parties in the district, he continued.
Further highlighting the process of the SIR exercise in the district, the DEO said that the exercise used a system of checks and balances wherein the Electoral Roll Observer appointed by Election Commission of India visited the district three times and also reviewed the conduct and progress of the revision exercise as part of the supervisory mechanism of the ECI.
The DEO further appreciated the ERO, AEROs, BLOs, supervisors, BLAs, political parties and all the concerned stakeholders for their efforts and cooperation in ensuring the successful completion of the SIR exercise.
He continued that the final publication of the Photo Electoral Rolls, 2026 of Jiribam District has been uploaded and available in https://ceomanipur.nic.in.
