Churachandpur: Continuing his visits to relief centres to reach out to internally displaced persons (IDPs), Deputy Commissioner Krishna Kumar, IAS, today visited the Sadbhavna Mandap relief camps in Tuibong Sub-Division and interacted with the inmates.
A medical camp was also organized for the residents under the supervision of Chief Medical Officer Dr. Henkhoneng Mate, with the support of the District Administration, Churachandpur. During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner also distributed fire extinguishers to the camp residents.
Speaking to media persons at the site, Krishna Kumar emphasized the administration’s commitment to extend all possible assistance and continued support to the displaced families. He patiently listened to the grievances of the inmates and assured that their concerns would be addressed. He assured that the fire department will conduct training sessions to equip the IDPs with knowledge on how to use the extinguishers effectively.
The district administration is closely monitoring the conditions of all relief camps, including the prefabricated shelters, with a strong resolve to ensure adequate relief assistance through the concerned Sub-Divisional Officers.
The Deputy Commissioner was accompanied by Seiminthang Lenthang, Additional Deputy Commissioner; Jangminlen Lupho, SDO, Tuibong; and other line staff.
