Churachandpur : On 02 September 2026, Assam Rifles highlighted its ongoing initiatives aimed at empowering youth through education, skill development and career opportunities, creating a supportive environment for aspirants seeking careers in the Armed Forces. As part of these efforts, Assam Rifles is facilitating a specialized National Defence Academy Preparation Camp at UNAU Skill Development Centre, Khuga in Churachandpur district. The camp is being implemented in close coordination with Nextgen Defence Academy to guide candidates preparing for the National Defence Academy II 2026 examination, scheduled for 13 September 2026 at Aizawl in Aizawl district.
Commencing on 08 August 2026 and continuing till 11 September 2026, the camp caters to a total of 11 aspirants, comprising nine boys and two girls. Civilian instructor Mr Letboigin Touthang has been engaged to provide comprehensive academic guidance and support during their preparation.
To enable aspirants to concentrate on their studies without logistical constraints, food and accommodation are being provided at the camp location for the programme duration. Furthermore, Assam Rifles will facilitate transportation to Aizawl on 11 September 2026, ensuring smooth movement for the examination. The initiative provides a structured environment for preparation while motivating youth to pursue aspirations of joining the Armed Forces and serving the nation.
