Pherzawl: Training programme on House Listing and Housing Census (HLO) began today at the Conference Hall, HSA Complex as part of preparations for the first phase of Census 2027 in Pherzawl district. Enumerators and Supervisors engaged for Parbung and Pherzawl Sub-Divisions participated in the three-day training programme.
Addressing the inaugural session, Zosanglur Joute, ADC Pherzawl and Charge Officer for Tipaimukh‑Parbung encouraged participants to make full use of the training to ensure smooth conduct of census operations and emphasised the importance of dedication during the subsequent house‑to‑house enumeration.
The training was led by Field Trainer K. Lunlenmoi Vaiphei, SDC Parbung and Field Supervisor T. Wilson Henminlun, SDC in coordination with the respective Charge Officers and Sub‑Divisional Officers of Parbung and Pherzawl.
Trainers explained the process of identifying and numbering houses, recording details of housing conditions, household amenities and assets. Enumerators also practised collecting and uploading information through the dedicated mobile application, which supports secure digital data collection and direct submission of house-listing details. Supervisors were assigned the crucial task of checking entries, monitoring field progress and guiding enumerators towards complete and accurate coverage of their respective areas.
Interactive question and discussion sessions were also held to address participants’ queries. Practical house‑listing and enumeration exercises are scheduled during the remaining days of the training to reinforce field skills.
