Tengnoupal: Assam Rifles organised a medical camp at Lamlong Khunou, Tengnoupal District on 19 July 2026. The initiative was planned to provide free medical consultation, preventive healthcare awareness and essential treatment to the residents of remote border areas, ensuring access to healthcare services directly at their doorstep.
The camp received an encouraging response from the local population, benefiting a total of 126 individuals, which included 41 males and 85 females. The Medical Officer along with the medical team conducted comprehensive medical examinations and provided treatment for various common ailments such as seasonal illnesses, respiratory infections, hypertension and gastrointestinal disorders. Alongside the clinical consultations, essential medicines were distributed to all the beneficiaries free of cost. The team also shared vital information on preventive healthcare, personal hygiene, balanced nutrition and healthy lifestyle practices to encourage early diagnosis and better health management. The local residents expressed their gratitude to Assam Rifles for setting up the camp in this far-flung area. This outreach camp highlights the ongoing efforts of the force to address the immediate healthcare needs of remote communities, promote disease prevention and foster health awareness in border regions.
