Tengnoupal: A meeting with Political parties in connection with Publication of Draft Electoral Rolls with regards to Special Intensive Revision (SIR) 2026 was held today at Khangshim camp office, Tengnoupal district. The meeting was chaired by Saurabh Yadav, District Election Officer/DC Tengnoupal.
During the meeting, DEO briefed representatives of various political parties on the Draft Publication of Electoral Rolls with regards to Special Intensive Revision (SIR) being undertaken and conducted with the objective of ensuring maximum participation, complete inclusion of all eligible electors and maintaining full transparency throughout the electoral roll revision process.
He informed that if there is any apprehension with respect to any irregularity, if you have any apprehension that any particular voter was deleted by mistake or was deleted wrongfully, you may come and apprise us. If you want to file an objection you may do so. You are an equal stakeholdrs as much as the voters or as the district administration is in the whole process. We will come out with a hearing notice very soon. Let’s make sure that not even a single vote gets deleted wrongfully or by mistake or any other way.
Representatives of political parties were urged not to hesitate to come and to extend full cooperation and make sure that each vote is counted and not a single vote has to be deleted from the list. He urges them in creating awareness among voters and ensuring that every eligible elector is included in the electoral roll.
Md. Asghar Arzad, Electoral Registration Officer (ERO/ADC), 42-Tengnoupal (ST) Assembly Constituency said today’s meeting is regarding the publication of draft electoral roll with respect to SIR 2026. Draft electoral roll is published and available to the office of DEO/ERO/AEROs and to the concerned BLOs.
As on June 28, 2026 in Tengnoupal district, out of 45139 electors, a total of 39911 electors had submitted their Enumeration Forms, reflecting overwhelming participation during the Enumeration phase of SIR. The successful completion of this phase is the result of the coordinated efforts of ERO, AEROs, BLOs, volunteers, BLAs appointed by Political parties.
Claims and Objections should either be presented at the office of the ERO or to the concerned AEOs or BLO from July 5 to August 4, 2026, during office hours.
