Tengnoupal: Continuing the celebration of Van Mahotsava 2026, a mass tree plantation drive was conducted on the second day at Thamlai village, Machi Range, under the Tengnoupal Forest Division.
The programme saw active participation from local residents, Thamlai village authorities, women’s groups, forest officials, and students of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Avashiya Vidyalaya, Heinoukhong.
The event was graced by Divisional Forest Officer, Mahamuda Begum, IFS, and S. Koshilning Dangshawa Maring, Head Master of SCBAV School, Heinoukhong.
Tengnoupal Forest Division is targeting to plant over 1.10 lakh saplings across the district.
