Imphal: Prioritising human resource development and youth empowerment as the primary pillars for regional progress, the Assam Rifles executed dual structural interventions aimed at boosting academic infrastructure and providing specialized vocational exposure at various places in Manipur today. These grassroots initiatives underscore a long-term strategy to motivate the younger generation while cementing public harmony.
In Chandel district, senior officials of the security forces actively facilitated the upliftment of border schooling by presenting whiteboards and essential educational aids to multiple schools in the remote Khengjoi sub-division. Designed to enhance the foundational academic infrastructure of the border villages, the presentation was accompanied by an interactive seminar highlighting how access to quality education empowers remote societies, reduces social disparities and promotes lasting stability. The village authorities and around 40 civilian attendees expressed deep gratitude to the forces for their sustained welfare efforts.
Simultaneously, building on this commitment to youth motivation, the Assam Rifles organised an expansive weapon display programme for National Cadet Corps (NCC) cadets of the 14 NCC Battalion and 65 Girls NCC Battalion at Mantripukhri Garrison, Imphal. The interactive technical exhibition drew a massive assembly of approximately 380 cadets, who were accompanied throughout the event by a dedicated team of 10 army personnel and instructors. Conducted in a highly secure environment, the display allowed the cadets to familiarise themselves with various service weapons, their operational employment profiles, technical capabilities and handling protocols. This direct exposure kindled strong career aspirations among the youth, effectively strengthening the collaborative bond between the armed forces and the student community.
