Imphal: Governor of Manipur Ajay Kumar Bhalla, today, interacted with five sponsored IDP students and their guardians at Lok Bhavan, Imphal. The students have been sponsored for providing free education up to class 10(ten) by Information Technology Institute for the Tribes of India-Doon Sanskriti School, Dehradun, Uttarakhand. The students, hailing from Moreh and Churachandpur and presently residing in different relief camps in Imphal have been selected for their further studies free of cost including fooding, lodging, uniform and other essential facilities. Their travel expenses from Imphal to Dehradun will be borne by the Assam Rifles. Under the aegis of IGAR (South) the students were selected from among those residing in various relief camps in Imphal.
While interacting with the students and their guardians, the Governor said that this is a great opportunity for the students and encouraged them to make the best use of it by learning wholeheartedly and developing their talents to the fullest. He wished the students success in their future endeavours. The Governor also appreciated the efforts of the Assam Rifles in supporting and nurturing the IDP students and helping them realize their full potential.
