Pherzawl: The District Administration of Pherzawl today launched a three-day Jan Kalyan Shivir at Parbung Community Hall to improve access to government welfare schemes and public services in the district.

The outreach programme brought together several departments including Health, Agriculture, MSPDCL, Zonal Education Office and Department of Information Technology enabling residents easy access to multiple schemes at a single venue.

Officials from participating departments facilitated fresh registration and enrolment under various welfare schemes. The outreach camp also provided services for correction of errors in government records, redressal of public grievances and processing of pending cases.

Residents of Parbung and neighbouring villages availed on-the-spot registration and verification services under schemes such as PM-JAY, CMHT, PM-Kisan and PM Surya Ghar schemes. The camp also provided health screening along with Aadhaar enrolment and updation facilities.

District officials said the initiative seeks to bridge the gap between government services and beneficiaries particularly in remote areas by taking essential public services directly to the people.

The mega campaign will continue until June 20 and conclude at the district headquarters. Eligible residents have been encouraged to visit the camps and make use of the services and benefits available under various government schemes during the campaign.
