Bishnupur hosts multi-department public welfare camp

Bishnupur: Bishnupur District today began its three-day Public Welfare Camp, ‘Jan Kalyan Shivir’, at the PRC Hall, Mini Secretariat Complex, Bishnupur, with over 500 citizens in attendance.

Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Pooja Elangbam informed that Jan Kalyan Shivir is a public welfare camp facilitating fresh registrations under various beneficiary schemes, rectification of errors in existing records, and expeditious disposal of pending cases and grievances.

She stated that the camp is being organized across the country from 12th to 20th June with the primary objective of ensuring effective outreach and saturation of welfare and beneficiary-oriented schemes to every eligible citizen. The DC instructed officials to make the camp a grand success by performing their duties to the best of their ability.

The DC further informed that on 19th June, the camp will be held at Chingphu Ningthou Sembileima Haraobung, Ishok, and on 20th June at Maibram Mandop near Ibudhou Thangjing Temple, Moirang. She appealed to the public to come forward and avail benefits from the camp.

More than 20 departments, including Health, Social Welfare, Fisheries, CAF&PD, MSPDCL, Agriculture, Veterinary and Animal Husbandry, District Child Protection Unit, Planning, Election, and MSRLM, set up stalls at the hall.

ADM Bishnupur Toijam Opendro, AC to DC Sh. Gunamani, SDO Bishnupur Naorem Pritam, and other District Level Officers (DLOs) were present at the PRC Hall.

It may be mentioned that MSPDCL, Bishnupur Division also organized an awareness programme on “Grid Connected Rooftop Solar System” as part of the Public Welfare Camp at the PRC Hall, which saw enthusiastic public participation.

As part of the camp, DC Pooja Elangbam also handed over freshly issued Ayushman Cards and Ration Cards to beneficiaries.
