Imphal: In a powerful demonstration of its commitment to holistic community development, Assam Rifles collaborated with the Modhu & Sanahanbi Memorial Trust and GEM Public School to host a grand felicitation and welfare function today at Imphal East district. Stepping beyond conventional security roles, a contingent of 15 personnel, comprising both officials and troops, joined hands with local organizations to bridge academic recognition and crucial healthcare outreach under a single, unified objective: empowering the future of Manipur.
The day commenced with a celebration of academic grit, honoring the stellar achievements of successful High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) Examination 2026 students. This recognition served as a beacon of inspiration, motivating the youth to target higher educational milestones and actively contribute to nation-building.
Seamlessly shifting from fostering intellectual growth to securing physical well-being, the event marked the distribution of 1000 essential health cards. These included the Chief Minister-gi Hakshelgi Tengbang (CMHT) cards and the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) cards, both designed to alleviate crushing medical debts by providing cashless secondary and tertiary hospitalisation coverage up to five lakh rupees for economically vulnerable families. Alongside these, Raj Health Cards were distributed to streamline state-level health benefits, alongside the Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA) cards. The ABHA cards act as a revolutionary digital health identity, establishing a secure, paperless repository for medical histories that ensures seamless nationwide portability and rapid diagnostic access for doctors.
