Imphal: Chief Minister, Manipur Yumnam Khemchand Singh reviewed the progress of the ongoing improvement work of Imphal-Saikul road this evening.
Mention may be made that the Chief Minister himself flagged off the road improvement project on 14th March this year.
Yumnam Khemchand was briefed on the progress and the current status of the road development work by the Chongtham Bishwachandra, Chief Engineer, Public Works Department, Government of Manipur.
The Chief Minister instructed the concerned officials to ensure timely completion of the road while strictly adhering to the quality and standard.
On his way to the inspection site, Yumnam Khemchand was warmly greeted and welcomed by the members of different local clubs and residents of Pangei and Khundrakpam area. He was apprised of the grievances and hardships being faced by the locals and drew his attention to the need for improvement of basic amenities in the area.
While interacting with the people, the Chief Minister expressed his thankfulness for the warm welcome being accorded to him and assured them that all possibilities for development would be looked into with regard to the welfare of the public.
