Imphal: In a steadfast commitment towards troop welfare and national healthcare objectives, Assam Rifles organised a comprehensive awareness session on the ‘TB-Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan’ at Tengnoupal district on 14 May 2026. This initiative aligns with the Government of India’s flagship mission to eradicate Tuberculosis through proactive education, early diagnosis and timely intervention.
The session was conducted by Assam Rifles Medical Officer which provided a detailed insight into the symptoms, transmission vectors and preventive protocols essential for combating the disease. Emphasising the significance of personal hygiene, balanced nutrition and a disciplined lifestyle, the programme underscored how preventive healthcare is intrinsically linked to the individual well-being and operational efficiency of the force. This event is part of a series of ongoing initiatives undertaken by Assam Rifles across all its locations in Manipur to foster a culture of health consciousness and support national medical campaigns.
A total of 80 personnel participated in the interactive session, demonstrating a keen interest in maintaining medical preparedness within operational environments. By sensitising the ranks to the importance of regular health monitoring and adherence to medical advice, Assam Rifles continues to reinforce its dedication to the holistic welfare of its personnel while contributing meaningfully to the vision of a TB-free India.
