Imphal: The Indian Army, in coordination with police and other security agencies, has conducted a series of successful joint operations that, with the Manipur, have recovered 42 weapons, ammunition, and other war-like stores from the hill and valley regions of Manipur. The operations spanned several districts, including Imphal West, Chandel, Thoubal, Kangpokpi, and Churachandpur, and were conducted based on specific intelligence inputs over recent days.
On December 30, a joint search operation involving the Indian Army, Assam Rifles, CRPF, and Manipur Police in the Konchak area of Imphal West led to the recovery of a Carbine Machine Gun (CMG), a modified .303 rifle, two pistols, three single-barrel rifles, grenades, ammunition, and other war-like stores.

The next day, December 31, a coordinated effort by Assam Rifles and Manipur Police in the area between Thingphai and TS Laijang village in Chandel district uncovered an M-16 rifle, three Lathods, seven Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs), ammunition, and additional war-like materials.
In Churachandpur district, another joint operation on December 31 by the Indian Army, SSB, and Manipur Police in the Khujoirok Nala area northwest of Thumkhonglok yielded a Self-Loading Rifle (SLR), a modified .303 rifle, two automatic pistols, a single-barrel 12-bore gun, an anti-riot gun, grenades, and ammunition. Subsequently, on January 2, 2025, Assam Rifles and Manipur Police searched near Saiboh Village in Sangaikot Sub-Division, recovering an SLR rifle, two pistols, and three 12-bore single-barrel rifles.

Further joint operations between December 30, 2024, and January 3, 2025, in areas such as Konchak (Imphal West), Leishangthem (Thoubal), and Laibol Khunou (Kangpokpi) led to the seizure of a Carbine Machine Gun, a modified .303 rifle, four single-barrel rifles, seven pistols, one modified sniper rifle, two single bolt-action rifles, an improvised long-range mortar, a 12-bore gun, ammunition, and other war-like equipment.
These successful recoveries underscore the seamless collaboration between the Indian Army, Assam Rifles, Manipur Police, and other security agencies. Their joint efforts reflect a resolute commitment to ensuring peace, security, and stability in the region.
