Tengnoupal: Manipur Chief Secretary, Dr. Vineet Joshi, accompanied by Home Department Commissioner N. Ashok Kumar, visited the border town of Moreh on Monday to assess public life and civic administration.
During the visit, Dr. Joshi chaired a meeting at the Shopping Complex with Deputy Commissioner Tengnoupal Krishna Kumar, SP Tengnoupal Rahul Gupta, CO 5 AR Rahul Jain, and other officials. Leaders of various civil society organizations in Moreh, including Kuki Innpi Tengnoupal, Hill Tribal Council, KSO, KWU & HR, Tamil Sangam, Gorkha Samaj, Hindustani Samaj, BTCC, and MMCM, also participated in the meeting.
The Chief Secretary received memorandums from the CSO leaders and engaged in discussions about the current situation in the border town and the concerns of its residents.
Additionally, Dr. Joshi and the Commissioner visited the Integrated Check Post in Moreh to inspect its facilities. They also toured relief camps at Moreh Higher Secondary School and KLP Moreh, where Dr. Joshi presented gifts to the inmates and reassured them of the government’s ongoing support.
