Imphal: The Paomee Welfare Foundation (PWF) has announced the final call for applications from bona fide current and former primary and associate members of the All Manipur Working Journalists’ Union (AMWJU) for the Medical Financial Assistance (MFA) Scheme, Phase-I, for the year 2024-25.
This phase covers medical expenses incurred between April 1, 2024, and September 30, 2024, with assistance scheduled for distribution in October-November 2024.
The PWF’s MFA scheme provides financial aid for medical expenses on a biannual basis. Applicants must submit the prescribed form, along with supporting documents and a valid AMWJU ID card, at the reception of the Manipur Press Club by October 15, 2024.
Founded in 2017 by AMWJU, the Paomee Welfare Foundation offers medical financial assistance to both active and retired members of AMWJU. Beneficiaries may also nominate one immediate family member as a one-time recipient under the scheme. The Foundation finances its assistance from the interest generated on its Rs. 80 lakh corpus fund, which is held as a fixed deposit with the State Bank of India.
