PRO Defence, Manipur, Nagaland calls on Manipur Governor
Imphal: Lt. Col. Amit Shukla, Spokesperson & PRO, Manipur, Nagaland & Southern Arunachal Pradesh, Ministry of Defence (MoD) called on Governor of Manipur, Miss Anusuiya Uikey at Raj Bhavan, here on Monday.
During the meeting, the Army officer briefed on the measures taken up by the Ministry of Defence especially the Army and Assam Rifles to restore peace and normalcy in Manipur.
The Governor highlighted that there was a communication gap between the Army and the public in the initial days of the ethnic strife. She urged that relentless activities of the Army should reach the general public. To this, PRO assured that all the propagandas and false news will be countered with facts timely.
