Two-day training for polling personnel held in Churachandpur

During the training session, polling personnel were capacitated handling of EVMs, Booth apps, Communication and Mock polls for better familiarisation.

Churachandpur: To ensure smooth conduct of the upcoming General Election to 18th Lok Sabha 2024 in the district, a two-day training for polling personnel was held on Wednesday at Churachandpur Government College. 

The 1st round of polling personnel training was attended by 901 (male) officials appointed as Presiding Officers and Polling Officers –I, II and III of all the four assembly constituencies falling under Churachandpur district. 613( female) officials appointed as Presiding Officers and Polling Officers –I, II and III will also join the training session tomorrow. Nine Assistant Professors from Churachandpur Govt. College and three Assistant Professors from Lamka College were appointed as Training Related Officials and Master Trainers for providing training to all polling personnel. 

During the training session, polling personnel were capacitated handling of EVMs, Booth apps, Communication and Mock polls for better familiarisation.

There are 274 Polling Stations in the district and out of which 110 Polling Station will be operated only by Women Polling Personnel  In addition, 15 Polling Stations are also planned especially for Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs).

S. Thienlaljoy Gangte and Michael Fimliensang Fimate were appointed as the Nodal Officer and Assistant Nodal Officer ( Training Management) respectively.
