Imphal: Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) as part of the ongoing endeavor to maintain close interaction with various communities, to ensure security and earliest return to peace, organised an interaction with villagers of Kwatha village of Tengnoupal District.

 As part of the interaction Commander Sector Assam Rifles and Bijoy Koijam, Ex-MLA met the villagers and discussed their issues and challenges. 

The interaction in addition to instilling confidence was also aimed to express support and solidarity with the villagers. During the visit, Bijoy Koijam and the Commander of Assam Rifles distributed stationary, schoolbooks and school bags to the children.  The villagers also underwent basic medical check-ups and were provided medicines.
