CM directs officials to bring back two Assamese rescued from Uttarakhand Tunnel

Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma directed a team of the Assam government on Tuesday to bring back Ram Prasad Narzary and Sanjay Basumatry, residents of the state rescued from the Uttarakhand Tunnel.

In a post on X, Sarma noted, that two persons from the state’s Kokrajhar, district wee among those rescued from the tunnel after begn trapped inside for 17 days.

Sarma expressed his immense joy at the success of the Uttarakhand Rescue Operation.

“I directed a team from the Assam Govt is stationed in Uttarakhand to bring back Ram Prasad Narzary & Sanjay Basumatry, once they have been medically cleared

We are eagerly awaiting their safe and healthy return” he said on X ( formerly Twitter).
