Seven children injured as balcony collapses in Kaushambi

Sub Inspector (SI) Satya Prakash Pathak said that Chetram, a resident of Parasra village, had put a balcony over the door of his house to protect it from rain water. "On Tuesday the balcony collapsed while some children were playing over it whereas few others were sitting underneath it," he said.

Kaushambi (UP): Seven children were injured when the dilapidated balcony of a house collapsed in Kokhraj area of Kaushambi district here in Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday, a police officer said here.


Sub Inspector (SI) Satya Prakash Pathak said that Chetram, a resident of Parasra village, had put a balcony over the door of his house to protect it from rain water. “On Tuesday the balcony collapsed while some children were playing over it whereas few others were sitting underneath it,” he said.


He said that Aditya, Aryan, Riya, Sneha, Kanak, Kashik and Chandu got injured in the incident. “The police reached the spot after receiving the information and took all the injured children and admitted them to the district hospital Manjhanpur,” he said.


The SI said that Aditya was referred to SRN Hospital in Prayagraj in a serious condition.
