Gangtok:Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman reached Sikkim by road from Bagdogra airport. At Rangpo, BJP MLAs led by State BJP President DR Thapa met her in the Tourist Lodge and had
discussions on certain issues.
Minister Sitharaman assured of looking into the matters highlighted by them.
“State has financial constraints, people are facing difficulties. Therefore, one time package to resolve the issue, requested for,” said MLA Thapa. He also requested for measures to address the unemployment in the State.
“State has serious issue of rising number of educated unemployed.In order to promote Self
Employment,small business loans needed.”
He requested the Minister, for directing Banks to give collateral free loans for setting up small businesses, in easy way.
MLA Sonam Tshering Venchungpa, requested Minister Sitharaman for extension of the North East Industrial Investment and Promotion Policy, for resolving the unemployment in Sikkim as well as in 7 Sister North Eastern States.
Minister Sitharaman, will be visiting Gangtok town and North Sikkim,during her Four day official visit to State.
