Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi as India assumes the presidency of G-20.
Yogi tweeted, “Under leadership of PM Narendra Modi, India is shaping new paradigms of human centric globalisation encompassing the generous and sublime spirit of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’. G-20 presidency is a clear proof of this.’
In another tweet, he has said, “Congratulations to PM Narendra Modi Ji for this achievement on the Amrit Mahotsav year of Independence.”
The G20 Summit is held annually, under the leadership of a rotating Presidency.
The Group of Twenty (G20) comprises 19 countries (Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Republic of Korea, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Türkiye, United Kingdom and United States) and the European Union.
The G20 members represent around 85% of the global GDP, over 75% of the global trade, and about two-thirds of the world population.
