Jammu: The Jammu and Kashmir team has emerged as runner-up in the Sanda events of the 31st Senior National Wushu Championship played at Sher-e-Kashmir, Indoor Sports Complex in Srinagar.
The championship that started on October 28 concluded on Wednesday.
The J&K bagged 12 Medals (4) Gold, Rajinder Singh, Abhishek, Surya Bhanu Pratap, Sahil Sambyal, (3) Silver, Goutam, Owais Sarwar, Kamran, and five Bronze, Haqeek, Naveed, Showkat and Tanshiv Raina).
Nasir Aslam Wani (Chairman of J&K Wushu Association) was the special guest at the closing ceremony while Nuzhat Ara (Divisional Sports Officer Kashmir), Vijay Saraf (President of Wushu Association of J&K), Suhel Ahmad (CEO WAI), Nadeem Ahmad (Dy. Director SAI Jammu), Maneesh Kacker (vice President-WA), Shivender Dubey (Treasure), Sadat Aslam (vice President J&K Wushu Association) and Kuldeep Handoo (Dronacharya awardee) were among present at the prize distribution.
