Septuagenarian, his son murdered in Hyderabad over property dispute

Hyderabad: Unidentified persons brutally murdered a 78-year-old man and his son over a property dispute at Hanuman Sai colony in Uppal here in the early hours of Friday.

Police said the deceased were identified as Narasimhamurthy and Srinivas (35).

The assailants barged into Narasimhamurthy’s house at about 0530 hours and murdered him and also his son Srinivas with sharp-edged weapons when the latter attempted to save his father.

Both died on the spot.

They also threatened the maidservant, who was present there, with a knife.

Eyewitnesses said that a person wearing a blue T-shirt fled from Gandhi statue to the main road of Uppal.

On information, police who reached the spot with the clues team registered a case and took up an investigation.
