Assam, Mizoram regional body to resolve boundary issue: Sarma

New Delhi: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Wednesday informed that both Assam and Mizoram are in the process of forming a regional committee to discuss and resolve the long pending inter-state boundary issue between the states.

“Today, me and my Mizoram counterpart Zoramthanga discussed various issues concerning both the states,” Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma told reporters at the Assam House here shortly after the meeting.

We reviewed the Ministerial level talks held in Aizawl and both found the progress since then to be satisfactory, he said.

“We are in the process of forming a regional committee to discuss the border problem and resolve it,” Sarma said.
