Ayurveda provides complete health care: Manipur Governor

Imphal: Manipur Governor La. Ganesan on Friday said the concepts and principles of Ayurveda put emphasis on the holistic development of the people and the mode of treatment is one of the most effective ways to tackle a wide range of ailments and live a healthy lifestyle. 

The primary objective of Ayurveda is to seek a balance between body, mind and spirit, he said, while inaugurating a three-day Ayurveda Mela here.

The fair, headlined ‘AYURVEDA PARV’- provides services like free doctor’s consultation, free medicine, free yoga training and Ayush exhibition.

Governor said keeping in view Ayrveda’s importance, the Ministry of AYUSH has been opened and it has been functioning smoothly. The Ayurvedic system of treatment and medicine has widely been practised in Kerala which is encouraging and all should follow this system. 

Professor (Dr.) Rabinarayan Acharya, Director General, Central Council of Research in Ayurveda Sciences also spoke on the importance of Ayurveda.
