Imphal: Manipur Police and troops of Assam Rifles nabbed eight militants belonging to the banned People’s Liberation Army (PLA) in a series of operations, police said on Sunday.

Thoubal SP, Jogeshchandra said joint operations by Manipur Police and Assam Rifles were held from Aug 11 to 13 and eight insurgents were held from Imphal East, Imphal West, Thoubal and Kakching districts. Two 9 mm Pistols with magazines, 35 live rounds of cartridges and two hand grenades were recovered.
