Tri-Service Chief’s eastern command decides to enhance interoperability & synergy

Shillong: The Commanders’-in Chiefs of Air force, Navy and Army’s Eastern Command have decided to further enhance interoperability and synergy between the three services, a defence spokesperson said on Thursday.

This decision was taken during the three-day Tri-Services Eastern Commanders–in-Chief Conference, held at the headquarters of the Eastern Air Command here in Meghalaya, concluded on Thursday.

Commander-in-Chief Andaman and Nicobar Command, Lieutenant General Ajai Singh, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Eastern Naval Command, Vice Admiral B Dasgupta, and General Officer Commanding-in- Chief, Eastern Command (Army), Lieutenant General R.P. Kalita attended the conference.

The meeting was hosted by Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Eastern Air Command, Air Marshal D.K. Patnaik,.

“The exchange notes on the peculiarities of operations in their respective domains identify each other’s strengths and arrive at mutually agreeable solutions to enhance interoperability and synergy between the three services,” the defence spokesperson said.

During the Conference, the Commanders-in-Chief of the eastern theatre also reviewed the progress made on various operational and logistic issues since the last meeting.
