New Delhi: A delegation from Nagaland-led by Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi here on Wednesday.

“Had a fruitful meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji along with Deputy CM Y Patton, United Democratic Alliance (UDA) chairman TR Zeliang and Rajya Sabha MP S Phangnong Konyak,” Rio tweeted after meeting the PM.

He expressed his gratitude to the PM for his constant support for the Northeastern state and its citizens.

However, the CM, who has been camping in the national capital, did not divulge details of the meeting. It is likely that Naga political issue was discussed in the meeting.

The delegation’s meeting with the PM comes a day after they met Union Home Minister Amit Shah here.
