Imphal: FIFA president Gianni Infantino has conveyed his best wishes to Team India women’s former captain Bembem Devi on her 42nd birthday.
Oinam Bembem Devi, also known as Durga of Indian football, celebrated her 42nd birthday on April 4.
In a letter to All India Football President Praful Patel, FIFA chief has expressed his admiration and gratitude to Bembem Devi for her contribution to women’s football, the AIFF said on Tuesday.
“Congratulations for your birthday! May this special day bring you happiness, health and success, both personally and professionally,” wrote Infantino.
“In this FIFA World Cup year, I am most appreciative of your support and collaboration in making this tournament such a successful and unique event, carrying a message of hope, unity and solidarity.”
“I wish you a wonderful day with your loved ones, and I sincerely hope we will continue to work together for the development and growth of this beautiful game that unites us all,” FIFA boss said.
