Churachandpur: Churachandpur District Election Officer (DEO)/DC Pawan Yadav has been nominated for the Star DEO Award on the occasion of National Voters’ Day on January 25.
As per official missive from the office of the Chief Electoral Officer, Manipur, three District Election Officers (DEO/DC) of the State have been nominated for the Star DEO award in recognition of their outstanding contributions in connection with election (innovative practices to enrol all eligible persons, remove impurities in the Photo Electoral Rolls, etc. so as to ensure that Photo Electoral Rolls of Assembly Segments in the State are free of error and healthy) and towards achieving the codified theme- No voter to be left behind.
At the same time, ERO/SDO Churachandpur Dharun Kumar, is also among six nominated for Star ERO Award.
The Award will be distributed on the occasion of National Voters’ Day on January 25 at City Convention Hall, Imphal.
The CEO will also recognise the service of BLOs in each Assembly Constituency. Th Rajeshwar Singh (55-Tipaimukh AC), H Thanglian (56-Thanlon AC), P Kaijamang (57-Henglep AC), Lalthankimi Sailo (58-Churachandpur AC), Lalnunsang (59-Saikot AC) and Darthansang (60-Singhat AC) have also been nominated for Best BLOs (AC-level) from the district.
Apart from DEO Churachandpur Pawan Yadav, , the other two DEOs nominated for the Award are DEO Imphal West Th Kirankumar and DEO Chandel Rajkumar Mayanglambam.
