Imphal: With just two positive cases, 13 recoveries and no deaths in the last 24 hours leading up to 5 pm of Sunday, the Covid-19 situation in Manipur continues to show improvement.
Two persons (1 male and 1 female) from the general population, one of them from Imphal West district and the other one form Imphal East tested positive. During the same period, 13 persons recovered and were discharged, 9 of them from CAPF and 4 from Home Isolation, as per an official release from the Covid-19 Common Control Room.
The cumulative number of positive cases is 29,273 (General Population — 25,840 and Central Security Personnel — 3,433). The cumulative number of recovered cases is 28,867 (General Population — 25,438 and CAPF— 3,429). The number of active cases is 33 (general population 33 and CAPF 0). The recovery rate is 98.61%.

As per the latest information, the number of people vaccinated on February 27, is 3482 and the cumulative vaccination number is 52327.
The total number of health care workers who have been vaccinated is 29760 which include the Directors of RIMS and JNIMS, CMOs, DFWOs DIOs of districts, chairman cum managing directors of Shija Hospital and Babina Diagnostics’.
There are no severe reaction/allergies, adverse event following immunization (AEFI) till date. There were 47 mild reactions who were on home care and all of them are now fully recovered, the release added.
