Imphal: In the last 24 hours leading up 2 pm of Sunday, Manipur recorded one Covid related death, 16 positive cases from the general population and seven recoveries, as per an official release from the Health Department.
Seven of the 10 persons from the general population who tested positive are from Imphal West, three from Imphal East, two each from Thoubal and Kakching and one each from Bishnupur and Tengnoupal. Altogether, 661 persons were tested amounting to a positivity rate of 2.4 %.
Meanwhile, seven persons recovered and were discharged, four of them from CCCs and one each from home isolation, JNIMS and RIMS. The recovery rate in Manipur now stands at 98.24 %.Â
The cumulative number of positive cases in the state now stands at 1, 25,823 out of which 1,25,023 have recovered, leaving 215 active cases.
The total number of doses administered on January 1, 2022, is 3, the cumulative number of doses administered is 23,16,105 (1st dose 13,25,023, 2nd dose 9,91,082).
