Kolhapur: Renowned Marathi and Hindi film director, actor and art director Chandrakant Joshi passed away on Monday after a brief illness.
He was 77 and survived by three sons, including Marathi film and TV actor Rishikesh Joshi and a daughter.
In an official announcement made by a private hospital doctor, Joshi passed away at 1910 hrs in the evening.
His body would be taken to his residence at Mahadawar Road on Tuesday morning and the funeral would be held at Panchanga Ghat after taking out a procession from his residence, sources said here.
