Manipur Government felicitates Indian Army Officer who daringly confronted Chinese troops in Galwan valley

Chief Minister N Biren Singh said, “We are always indebted to soldiers like him who is leading in the front for the safety and security of our Nation. The state always encourages our youths to join the armed forces and participate in safeguarding the Nation.”

Imphal: Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh Tuesday felicitated Captain Soiba Maningba Rangnamei, from Manipur’s Senapati district, who fought Chinese troops and displayed exemplary courage in Ladakh’s Galwan valley along the Line of Actual Control last year in a function held at the CM Secretariat here.

CM N Biren said, “It’s an honour to felicitate Capt Soiba Maningba Rangnamei from Senapati, Manipur of 16 Bihar Regiment who led his men in Galwan during the confrontation against the Chinese PLA.”

He further said, “We are always indebted to soldiers like him who is leading in the front for the safety and security of our Nation. The state always encourages our youths to join the armed forces and participate in safeguarding the Nation.”

Captain Soiba Maningba Rangnamei of 16 Bihar Regiment had appeared in a purported video of Galwan clash that was released by China, in which he could be seen leading the soldiers and daringly confronting the Chinese troops during a clash with the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA).  With agency inputs
