Arunachal COVID-19 scene: 4 more test positive, 2 recover

Arunachal Pradesh presently has 36 active cases. So far, 280 persons have died due to COVID-19 related complications in the state.

Itanagar: Four more individuals have tested positive for COVID-19 in Arunachal Pradesh during the past 24 hours, pushing its tally of confirmed cases to 55,255, a senior health official said.

On the contrary, two persons have recuperated from the disease in the period increasing the total number of recovered cases to 54,939, he said.

Of the fresh infections confirmed through rapid antigen tests, two cases were detected in Tawang, while Namsai and Upper Siang reported one each. Three of the total cases were found to be symptomatic and one asymptomatic, the official said.

The state has tested 364 samples for COVID-19 during the last 24 hours that took its cumulative count to 11,96,855.

Arunachal Pradesh presently has 36 active cases. So far, 280 persons have died due to COVID-19 related complications in the state.

More than 13.90 lakh eligible populations of the state have been administered COVID-19 vaccine doses to date since the launch of the nationwide vaccination drive in January last.
